Dermatology and Endocrinology

Dr Richard Harvey BVSc,DVD, Dip.ECVD, FIBiol, PhD, MRCVS

Richard qualified from the university of Bristol in 1978. He holds both RCVS and European Diploma´s in Veterinary Dermatology. He obtained his PhD in 1999. He is an RCVS specialist in Veterinary Dermatology.

Dr Richard Harvey accepts referrals for all types of skin problems, from other practices, from all over the UK as well as seeing first opinion clients.

Example of cases/symptoms:

• Itch, from mild to severe and unremitting
• Loss of hair, change of texture in the hair
• Presence of papules, spots, crust, scale, self-trauma or a greasy texture
• Change of pigmentation to the lips, muzzle or hair coat
• Odour
• Recurrent or chronic ear disease, animals requiring surgery management for chronic otitis media and externa.
• Loss of nails
• Any case which fails to respond to therapy

If your pet is registered at another practice, please discuss referral with your own Veterinary Surgeon, who can then supply you with a referral letter and an appointment can be made for you. Referral consultations are in-depth and can last up-to an hour. Please ask at reception for a referral pack and prices.

Second opinions on cases will not be given to owners without prior knowledge and consent from their own Veterinary surgeon.
